Dragonfly Delicacies is not a storefront bakery so I do not have cookies ready to sell. All cookies are pre-ordered and I bake them out of my home in accordance with Maryland Cottage Food Bakery Laws.

Dragonfly Delicacies is located in the Ballenger Creek area of Frederick, MD 21703 (near Tuscarora Elementary School).

I generally require two (2) weeks notice so that I have time to design your cookies and source additional cutters/supplies (if needed). However, I recommend that you reach out as soon as possible as, due to my hours at my day job, I am only able to take on a certain number of cookies each week. If your event is less than two weeks away, still reach out! If I can't fit you in as a rush order, then I have some recommendations of some other cookiers in the area that may be able to help you! If your event is close to a major holiday (Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day etc.), please give as much notice as possible as the number of custom orders will be reduced during these times.

For custom orders, one dozen (12) cookies is the minimum number required. As I charge by the cookie though, you can order any number you want after that! You don't need to order by the whole dozen (although a lot of people still do as it is easier!) For holiday pre-sales, there is no minimum. You can order just one item if you would like!

The answer to this question is different for everyone! I charge by the cookie and the cost of each cookie depends on the size, number of colours used and the level of detail wanted. Most of my cookies are around 3.5-4 inches big (along the longest side) and start at $4.50 for a basic design*. Most customers opt for a more detailed option that start at $5.00 per cookie. After discussing your event with you and seeing the invitation or pictures of your decorations, I will come up with designs for you to look at. The designs will include sizes and prices. You can then choose 3 designs per dozen for your order and your invoice will reflect the prices of those cookies. *Basic design = up to 2 colours (plus white) with minimal piping/details

Right now, I offer my signature flavour which is Vanilla Almond. It is a delicious recipe based on the one that was handed down from my American family! I also offer Simply Vanilla. Both flavour cookies are iced with Vanilla royal icing. Seasonal flavours may be offered.

Due to the long hours that I work for my day job and the nature of the work, I generally don't deliver cookie orders. Pick up can be arranged from my home address in Ballenger Creek (near Tuscarora Elementary School) or my work address (Walkersville area). The exact address will be sent once payment has been made. Cookie orders will not be mailed at this this time. All orders are pick up only.
